How do I get a job with BACEE?

Jobs with BACEE come up infrequently, but when they do, they are advertised in the press and through other outlets. Appointment is made on the basis of competitive interview.


Does BACEE fund academic study?

BACEE does not make grants or offer scholarships for either undergraduate or postgraduate study.


Does BACEE offer internships?

One-off opportunities for an internship arise from time to time. We recommend that anyone interested should first make preliminary enquiries by telephone or email. Please do not send unsolicited CVs.


Can I become a member of BACEE?

From its beginning, BACEE has been a membership organisation. Please see the section on membership for details.


How is BACEE financed?

BACEE is a Non-Departmental Public Body of the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO), from whom it receives an annual Grant-in-Aid. In addition to this, many of its projects are financed by the several FCO special funds. But BACEE also undertakes contracts and sub-contracts for a variety of organisations, including other British Government Departments, the EU and USAID.


Can you help me establish business links in Central and Eastern Europe?

BACEE does not provide trade promotion. You should contact the relevant Embassy or Chamber of Commerce.
